State of pure bliss

If there exists a state of pure bliss then it can be achieved only through meditation. Considering the fact that I am an engineer; believing in this kind of thought without any factual data is a bit difficult for me therefore I decided to try meditation myself.

Meditation isn’t something you can read in a book or watch a YouTube video and you’re done. It takes hours of guided teaching and then self practice. I was lucky to have a professional instructor. My earlier post on meditation was a third person view, an observation. However this time I was doing it myself.

In the beginning its kindda odd you close your eyes and then a million thoughts come into your mind and you start to think why you are doing this. Then comes a point of concentration where you start to take everything seriously and enjoy the session however this happens only if you let your thoughts to flow on their own. There is a huge difference between thinking about something and letting your thoughts come on their own.

After a lot of practice and guidance you finally find yourself in a place so blissful that you don’t wanna comeback from there. There are no thoughts just immense sense of fulfillment and happiness. You instructor might ask you to come back after sometime but you are in a place of zen and peace and you don’t want to be back. This is where real meditation starts.

I had a great time doing this and I am doing it everyday. When I am in meditation I feel like I am in Ireland… may be because of the movies/songs. Hope to see you there.

Yogic Environment

Learning Yoga is one thing and practicing it everyday is a different thing. When you learn it in a school everything seems easy because the company you have is highly competitive and they keep practicing in front of you that encourages you to work hard and stay focused.

But the moment you leave the school you are on your own. And if by any chance your friends and family are not into yoga then you are in deep trouble buddy because no matter you wake up at 5 AM if the person next to you is sleeping then chances of you waking up decreases more than 50% and I bet my facebook account on this and by the way my FB account is priceless. 🙂

Environment plays a big role in the development of the human nature and personality, this is the reason people study a lot in Harvard, Oxford and the MIT because the environment is highly competitive. There is no way you can waste a single day without studying. The same applies with Yoga practice. The same person who used to practice for 6-7 hours will find it difficult to practice for 1 hour.

Hope you find the company to stay focused.

Graduation May 2013

There are very many moments in life which are worth relishing upon. One of them is graduation day. All though students graduate every month here but every graduation ceremony is unique in their own sense.  Swamiji graced the occasion himself. We were blessed by his kind blessings and prasad,

This graduation was special in many respects..

1. Respected Swamiji was present to grace the occasion

2. We had two students ( Katee and Satya) who were here for almost 3 months

3. One of the students (Kat Bickert ) completed her 6 months Advanced Course

4. Students got Yoga teachers training, therapy and Ayurveda certificates.
